Service Description

This course is for students who have already applied for and have been approved or who have been instructed by your county Sheriff to go get your initial 16-hour training completed. This training is administered over 2 days with a majority of instruction administered in the classroom & a live fire qualification range session administered at the end. • Day 1: Students will learn reporting responsibilities, Firearm Safety, where you can and can't carry your firearm, how to conduct yourself during any contact with law enforcement, how many firearms you are allowed to carry, what your allowed to carry, potential disqualifiers, the law regarding the permissible use of a firearm, de-escalation techniques, levels of force, mental health & suicidal ideation training, written test, possible criminal & civil outcomes of using deadly force, importance of self-defense liability insurance. • Day 2: Will start in the classroom. We will go over firearm safety & fundamentals again, range rules & etiquette, proper storage & transportation, how to declare a firearm when traveling by plane, dry fire practice with the SIRT pistols (training pistols), simulation shoot/no shoot scenarios, drawing from a holster, the law regarding defense of the home, then we will go to the range for live fire qualification. Students are responsible for bringing his/her own firearm, 35 rounds of ammunition per firearm, holster, belt, 2 magazines or 2 speed loaders for revolvers, eye & ear protection. **To pass this course and obtain certification the student will need to complete the required course of fire with a minimum passing score set by your county Sheriff's Department. Students are allowed 2 tries at achieving a passing range qualification score. If a student fails BOTH qualification attempts, student will be required to wait at least 48 hours AND pay additional instruction & range fees to attempt range qualification again. **


Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a class, you may cancel, reschedule or transfer your class to someone else of your choosing within 12 hours of your class start time WITHOUT penalty. If canceling or rescheduling AFTER the above-mentioned 12-hour time frame you will be charged an inconvenience fee of $30.00. No refunds will be given for any reason. (Must notify owner by email nakita_price@3rdeyewatching.com before transferring any classes to another person). No refunds will be given for any reason.
